Bespoke
The Indian Rug’s bespoke projects grow from our history of working with artists, designers, and creative partners to craft custom pieces for private homes and hospitality spaces.
Each rug is designed specifically for its environment, bringing together materials, techniques, and traditional craft to create a piece that is both personal and enduring.
• DYEING
High-quality wool yarn is carefully dyed in controlled batches to ensure uniform colour penetration, consistency across lots, and long-lasting colour stability
• TUFTING
The dyed yarn is manually tufted into a stretched cotton backing using a tufting gun, following the design layout to achieve precise patterns and pile height.
• LATEXING
A natural latex compound is applied to the reverse side of the rug to firmly lock the yarns in place and add structural strength and durability.
• FINISHING
The rug undergoes detailed finishing, including trimming, edge binding, surface cleaning, and quality checks to ensure a refined final appearance.
